Uganda Police Volleyball Club delivered a spirited run on Day 2 of the Jinja Open. They wrapped up their group stage with a commanding 3–0 win over Mukono VC, then powered through the quarterfinals, sweeping Cobap 2–0 in the best‑of‑three clash. Momentum carried them into the semifinals, but there they met a formidable Namboole VC side and bowed out 0–2. It was a day of dominance and resilience, capped by a tough semifinal exit — a performance that showcased Police VC’s strength and promise on the big stage.

Uganda Police Volleyball Club kicked off their preseason campaign at the Jinja Open 2026, seeded in Pool A alongside former defending champions Spartans, UCU Mbale, and Mukono VC. Day one brought mixed fortunes for the team. In their opening match, Police displayed sharp execution and strong cohesion, sweeping UCU Mbale in straight sets (3-0). The victory set a confident tone for the tournament. However, the second fixture proved more challenging as they faced the reigning champions Spartans. Despite resilience, Police fell short, losing 3-0 to the experienced side. With one pool game left against Mukono VC on day two, the team’s focus is firmly on bouncing back and securing a spot in the knockout stages. The Jinja Open serves as an important preseason preparation for Uganda Police VC, offering valuable lessons and competitive exposure ahead of the upcoming league season.
